The Therapeutic Ayurveda Yoga Specialist Training is a 6-day, 100 hour advanced training for the yoga teacher interested in using the Science of Ayurveda as the lens through which the root cause of your dis-ease (not being at ease) is discovered.
A therapeutic yoga practice allows you to use your inner wisdom as a powerful tool for deeper healing on all levels of your being. If tracked skillfully, you have the ability to attain optimal health, ease, and peace in your physical, mental, and emotional bodies. This state is called ‘Swastha.’
In this 100 hour advanced certification program, you’ll:
shift your awareness from “thinking” to “embodying”
learn the Ayurvedic Stages of Nutrition to understand the concept of dis-ease (not feeling at ease or in harmony)
discover the connection between your emotions and your organs
learn basic neuroscience behind subtle body practices
free yourself of critical thinking + break your personal cycle of dis-ease that leads to poor body image
discover the Ayurvedic 6 stages of dis-ease and the pathway to healing
learn to make immunity (ojas) producing foods and activities that build and sustain vitality
gain confidence teaching self-regulating techniques (pranayama, yoga nidra, kriya…)
embody & implement effective sensory and practical therapeutic experiences for powerful healing
empower your clients to take ownership of their healing process
Many of the therapeutic practices that we will explore have been shown to help manage anxiety and depression, regulate cortisol (stress hormone) levels, and create new neural pathways. This can be the subtle shift needed for your body to recognize the path back towards ease.
As a certified Therapeutic Ayurveda Yoga Specialist you’ll be able to empower your students to:
reduce their stress and anxiety levels
improve their sleep and digestion
balance their nervous system
shift their mental blocks that keep them stuck, anxious or depressed
*Prerequisite: successful completion of the Human Journey YTT or another Yoga Alliance approved 200 hour YTT.
Upon successful completion of this program, you will qualify for 100 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) with the Yoga Alliance
