Allow yourself to enter a timeless space of listening as Crown of Eternity's Mike Tamburo orchestrates his way through 50+ overtone rich instruments including Gongs, Bells, Hammered Dulcimer and tuned metal instruments. Listeners have described Mike Tamburo's music as an adventure in listening; sonic bliss; a deep and lasting vibrational rejuvenation for body and soul; a profound aesthetic experience; a journey through the senses and a perceptual rollercoaster. Allow yourself to be still and listen.
We invite you to co-create a sensitive, safe, deep listening and meditative experience for all participants. It is expected that all will commit to an agreement of being still, quiet and honor and respect a deep transformative space throughout the entire experience. It is our intention to create an inclusive experience.
PLEASE BRING a yoga mat, blanket, or cushion for your comfort during extended relaxation on the floor. We have plenty of these to share if you don't have your own.
Space is limited! Get your tickets in advance!
Mike Tamburo has spent his life serving and exploring the power of music. His concerts and workshops are heart centered, uplifting, sonically multi-dimensional, life affirming experiences that focus on self transformation through conscious listening and breathing. He lives in deep gratitude and joy that his life of music has had meaning and been of use to the world around him. He seeks peace and harmony in his life and hopes to share this peace with others through his music and teachings.
Through extensive national tours both solo and with Crown of Eternity, Mike has offered countless workshops, classes, therapy sessions, concerts and retreats and has guided thousands of people to listen deeply, relax, reconnect to themselves and most importantly marvel at the power of sound.
Over the past 20+ years Mike Tamburo has become well known as a multi-instrumentalist, music educator, interdisciplinary sound artist, video artist, sound therapist, writer, meditation teacher and avid traveler; sharing over 1800 public and private performances and recording more than 65 albums of ecstatic and transcendental music as well as folk, drone, ambient and sometimes unclassifiable sounds.
Early in Tamburo's career he gained notoriety for his string playing (hammered dulcimer, guitar and shahi baaja). In many of his early performances he began to enter into altered states of consciousness and have out of body experiences while performing. In order to understand these experiences he went into years of self study; exploring Kundalini Yoga, energy work, the therapeutic use of sound and how sound effects consciousness, human perception and self healing. His love for long sustained drones, overtones and psychoacoustics led him to working with multiple gongs and other tuned metal instruments (bells, sound plates, singing bowls) as well as exploring the healing power of mantra and toning. Connect with the deepest part of yourself. Get the tools to advance your personal practice at home and at the studio. Learn the Ashtanga Yoga system, which is a living lineage that dates back nearly five thousand years and that has reached millions of practitioners.
Ashtanga Yoga’s Vinyasa system is sequences of postures (usually called series) that vary in difficulty and benefit. There are three series: The Primary Series, which cleanses and tunes the physical body; The Intermediate Series, which purifies the nervous system; and the Advanced Series, which cultivates strength and grace. They are accomplished in a sequential manner, which tests the student’s discipline and commitment. The sequential process of learning Ashtanga allows the yogi to develop the concentration, strength, flexibility and stamina necessary to progress in a safe, balanced and optimal manner. The result of practicing this system is an open heart and a clear mind in a light and strong body.
If you are looking forward to becoming more consistent in your practice and look inward while practicing a method that helps you find health and happiness, come and learn with us the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series. The Primary Series, Yoga Chikitsa, cleanses and tunes the physical body and it is where every Ashtanga practitioner starts. Poses can be modified and they can be made accessible for everybody. All you need is motivation and be committed.

We're making changes to our pre-natal yoga classes and we think you'll like what we're doing!
Beginning immediately, Peace & Power Pre/Postnatal Yoga will be on the schedule twice monthly, every FIRST and THIRD Sunday at 9:30am. No special pass is required. This class will now be covered under your monthly Recurring Donor membership and is also open to drop-in students on a donation-basis, just like all of our other classes. If you are a Recurring Donor, come to these classes and ask questions about other classes that will be suitable for you. You'll learn all that you need to keep yourself safe, enabling you to practice more if you so desire.
This upgrade aligns with our mission at Sōl - to remove obstacles that get between people and their yoga practice. We want you participating. We want you on your mat, especially now. It is our hope that this will help you connect more often with community during your pregnancy, your birth and beyond.
Please reach out if you have questions about any of this! Phone call or text both work dandy. In the meantime, visit our online schedule and register for our next Peace & Power class on Sunday, October 21, 9:30am.
